All dressed up

Okay, so in this photo this dress looks like it goes down to her ankles...but it doesn't. Just a weird angle I guess. Anyways, we went to Ben's mission farewell today and so we got dressed up and headed to church. My child was seriously so well behaved that I was shocked myself. Other kids were dragged out kicking and screaming (even twice I might add) and Kira sat nicely as could be. She did get a little restless towards the end of the meeting...but really...nothing to complain about. She's looked so cute in her little red dress. And I'm seriously so blessed that she's for the most part calm and adorable. :)

She's a genuis

Kira loves to read books.

And's she got her very own laptop.

She's a genius. A tiny toddler genius. We are proud.

No. She's not Spoiled at all.

Another Christmas?
I'm only....how late in posting this stuff? But, I've been sick, and that's my excuse. Well, that and I'm just tired... AAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!! Anyways, Kenny's mom and sister came to visit ....has it been almost 3 weeks already?,....3 weeks ago. They brought with them a whole carload of presents for my cutest little girl. No really...she's not spoiled at all. It was like having Christmas all over again. It was fun to have them here (I know, she IS my mother-in-law....but it really was fun.) And, what's the best part (besides family bonding, etc?) I got a sewing machine!!! I know, right? You're all thinking...how did I land this fun present? I'll tell you...I put it on a wish list in my blog. Hello!! That's brilliant. I better really take this blog thing seriously. ha!
I'm sure we'll see them again soon...but until then I've really got to be better at posting pictures of Kira because I know that Jackie's one that looks at this religiously. :)

We'll get it right...

Kira had her 15 month check-up...and got a couple shots which is always fun. The doctor's appointment was timed perfectly because we could tell she hadn't been feeling well...and the last couple days before her appointment she was CRANKY. Well, poor girl...had a double ear infection. She got some meds, and she's feeling lots better. All in all she's doing well. She's still 30 inches, but she's gained a little weight...she's up to a whopping 25lbs 11oz. :) She's on track with things...but the doctor said I need to get her completely off the bottle (darnit) and let her feed herself more. So...I am doing what the doctor ordered:

She's doing really well. Stirring with her spoon, eating with her hands.

Atleast she's having fun, right?

Who me?

This is my child looking up innocently as she delicately shoves something in her mouth.

This is the piece of chocolate she sneaked from the table when I wasn't looking.
I have no idea where the chocolate fingerprints on the wall came from. Hmm.
I should know when she's quiet for longer than 5 seconds she's up to no good. I'll catch on someday.

I need the Sunshine.

Really? Could it be any colder? Can it snow any more? Can I walk out to my car after work and wipe anymore freezing cold wet snow off of my car? Can I slip and slide in my professional, but obviously not snow boot shoes? Can I please please please drive around more on these roads that never seem to get plowed?

I need a vacation from the snow. I need to go where the sun shines, my skin can tan, and I can walk outside without FREEZING.

Hurry up Winter. Go away.

If your mother has passed away, then she must have had a place in heaven waiting for her. If your mother is alive...call her and tell her you love her.

Someone once said that the best gift can be seeing moments in time and pictures they don't have. These are for you my sitter.
