I love my family

Grandma Johnson and Kira
Saturday Kenny and I went shopping with my mom and dad.....they bought Kira some cute clothes, and we picked out a highchair that they are buying for us (score! :) ) We all had dinner back at the house and it was so fun just to sit around the table and talk and catch up. Dinner was yummy, conversation was entertaining....and I miss being around my family. I really wish that my family lived nearby and they could see Kira grow up and I could be a part of their daily lives. But, for now I am glad that I got to hang out with them this weekend. So, thanks mom and dad...it was fun to see you.....and thanks Kyle and family...I can't wait to see you all in July!!!! :)

Bryce's Soccer Game

Can I just say how nice it was to go watch Bryce's soccer game? First of all, it was fun to go watch my nephew play. But, it was SO NICE to just be able to sit in the sun for a while and breath the fresh air. Life gets too hectic sometimes and if I'm not working, I'm cleaning, or shopping or....just inside. Now that the weather is getting nicer, we for sure have to be outside more. It does wonders for my health I've decided!

The wedding reception was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. It was fun to see the Grames family and see how much they had all changed (or in most of the cases, not changed a bit!) I had fun just watching my little nieces and nephew and being around them.

Finally there...

We got to Boise pretty early...and just hung out at the house for a while. It was nice to finally be out of the car. I was excited for Grandma to see Kira because it's been a loooong time!!! Then we all got ready to go to a wedding reception for some long time family friends.

Off to Boise...

So, this weekend we took a trip up to Boise to see my parents and brother and his family. It was quite the drive...well, about 5 1/2 hours and so my surprise, Kira slept almost the whole time. She was as happy as could be! Now, on the way home we weren't so lucky. Poor baby was CRYING and so ready to get out of her carseat. Traveling with a baby isn't as easy as I thought.

Look mom, I can sit up!!!!

Cousin Bonding

So, Kenny and I and Kira went to dinner with Brooke, Jesse, Rayce and Sayer at Iggy's tonight. It was a pretty good time. Some good cousin bonding. Seriously the family events are far and in between and if we didn't take it upon ourselves to hang out, my child would be walking I bet before I saw them again. :) So... dinner was yummy. The kids were a little cranky, but that's okay. Anyways, I could make lots of comments about the evening, including commenting on some outfits that were possibly WAY metro-- But I won't. :) Thanks guys...we had fun!!

Night out for Michelle's Birthday....

It was so fun to get out for a few hours...Just to hang out for Michelle's birthday. We went to the Sky Box for a while...and I had an awesome time. I think it's part of my sanity..getting out for a while and having fun with friends. Thanks Grandpa for watching Kira!!

Is it almost Summer???

We all went to Cole's baseball game on Saturday. Yeah, it was fun to go...but my GOSH IT WAS FREEZING!!! Seriously... supposedly it's already Spring? The baby was held captive in her stroller covered in blankets, I was wishing I had some awesome purple earmuffs about then, and my ears HURT from being so cold....I can't wait for the sun to come out! But, it's always a fun time with the family...I mean, Syd and McKayle almost broke out in the Soldier Boy Dance. Now, that would have made the day amazing.

Hair by Mckayle

Hey Everyone!! My sister-in-law started doing hair on the side and I'm trying to help her get some business. She specializes in updos. Pictured here is some of her finest work. If you have a wedding, prom, or a special date night, let me know and I'll get you in touch with her. She doesn't have her own salon yet, so she'll come to you!

My saving grace...

So, today Kira went to the doctor for her 6 month check up. She got 3 shots...and that was not fun. She screamed bloody murder...and I almost cried. That was at noon. She did not have a nap, and would not drink her whole bottle, and would NOT STOP FUSSING. So, I text McKayle. I tell her I'm dogging on the gym again...because Kira is cranky. She asks if I need help. Umm....yes please. I'm about to pull my hair out. So, she comes over and watches the baby while I go to Walmart and get dinner. I forgot how easy Walmart was when you didn't have a baby, diaper bag, and purse. Then we play photographer and take pics of the baby. Man, we're good. Nice pics of the baby as shown below. We watch this LAME movie ...well, we don't even watch it. But, did I mention it was lame??? You know, we just talk and catch up and bond, because we are tight now, you know? All in all, I felt human again after she was over for a few hours. I owe her big. Thanks McKayle.

My baby has a million dollar smile

I'm 6 months old... I'm 19lbs... 26.5 inches. My smile already turns heads. That's right boys...get in line.

Gift from the Islands...

I love my new doll from the Islands. Thanks Grandma Jackie--it sure tastes good!!!!
